Working 12 hour days without complaint on a very paint-intensive project, the Kaloutas paint crew was phenomenal and extremely respectful to all others on site. Their office staff was responsive and knowledgeable on technical issues regarding materials required to paint freshly finished plaster to keep our project on track. Kaloutas is one of the best painting subcontractors I've had the pleasure to work with throughout my construction experience.

Employee Spotlight: Mike Ward - Foreman

Mike started his career with Kaloutas in November of 2007. He has proven himself with hard work and leadership skills, making him a reliable foreman since the beginning of his employment. Mike is a valuable, dedicated employee who continues to demonstrate professionalism and diligence on every jobsite. Mike Ward

We recently sat down with Mike to get his feedback on what it's like to be a Kaloutas Painting employee.

Q: What do you like most about working for Kaloutas Painting?
A: I enjoy working with all the people at Kaloutas. I think that everyone works really well together and knows the importance of communication on a jobsite. I enjoy the challenges that come with each project – getting things done on time, and coming in under budget while maintaining quality and professionalism.

Q: What project/situation have you been most proud of since you started working here?
A: For a year and a half I worked on a high profile project in the biopharmaceutical industry. This job had a variety of specialty finishes such as Gold certified LEED products and multiple high build epoxy systems that had to be applied with high quality in order for the business to operate properly. It was a challenging project to complete, but we finished successfully, and to the customers satisfaction. I was honored to have been given the opportunity of being the foreman on the job.

Kaloutas Launches Web Survey to Kickoff Customer Loyalty Program
Kaloutas Painting invited more than 500 customers to participate in an online survey on customer satisfaction. NPS, a concept introduced by Harvard University Business School, is based on the universal principle, “treat others as you would want to be treated.” It involves asking one question – How likely is it that you would recommend Kaloutas Painting to a friend or colleague? – in a regular and systematic manner.

Kaloutas’ web survey, comprised of three basic questions, will provide Kaloutas Painting with an important benchmark score for customer loyalty. “Our business is centered on building and perpetuating long-term relationships with our customers. The survey will enable us to open a dialogue with our customers and ensure we are delivering the quality and service that they both expect and deserve,” said Jim Kaloutas, President of Kaloutas Painting.

Acknowledging that many unique departments influence a customer’s overall experience and therefore, loyalty, Kaloutas will track satisfaction at each customer touch point. The NPS program will be used as an operating management tool to profitably grow the company while maintaining focus on the customer. Kaloutas customers will be invited to participate in the survey on a bi-annual basis.
